CALL Workshop 2008 - Call for Presentations Open
by Don Hinkelman - Thursday, 4 September 2008, 02:33 PM

Dear Englishforum Colleagues,

The website for accepting presentation proposals is open until July 25th for the CALL Workshop 2008 in Hokkaido. All foreign language teachers are encourage to propose practical demonstrations and papers on technology in language learning. Go here to submit your proposal: http://www.jalthokkaido.net/conference/conference_index.html

This year the CALL Workshop is being held on the same weekend as the JALT Hokkaido Annual Conference. Here is the schedule:

* Saturday, October 18, CALL Workshop, Sapporo Gakuin University
* Sunday, October 19, JALT Hokkaido Conference, Hokusei Gakuen University

We are doing a joint vetting of proposals so that presenters from out-of-town can have more options for the time of their presentations or workshops. The Saturday program will focus on the use of technology in classroom practice and provide computer rooms, but Sunday presentations may also be open to technology-related presentations that do not require hands-on computers for participants.

Sapporo Gakuin University is also pleased to announce the opening of five blended learning rooms--regular desk/chair classrooms with computers along the walls. These will be used during the CALL Workshop.

With best regards,
