Dear Englishforum Member,

Thanks to everyone for making the Moodle Workshop a success.  22 beginning and experienced teachers were able to build and improve interactive websites for English language learning over the morning and afternoon sessions at Hokusei Gakuen University and Junior College.  A special thanks to Martin Meadows of Nayoro and Peter Ruthven-Stuart of Hakodate for making the long journey to Sapporo.

The Trial Courses you made will be open and available for one year at this site.  If you want to use it longer, please let me know and I will arrange it.  Any time you run into trouble, feel free to ask a question, however simple, at the Help Forum

The concept of open source is very powerful.  It relies on teacher cooperation and self-help to promote and train each other.  However, this concept is under threat by commercial powers who wish to monopolize learning management systems.  Please sign the petition against Blackboard, a corporation that is attempting to make illegal and unethical patents in our field.  If you are concerned, go to: http://www.boycottblackboard.org/

Once again, best wishes and thank you for your participation.

With regards,
Don Hinkelman
