Learning english grammar, writing/communication skills

HI,
I have been thinking for a short while how to improve my grammar and sentence formation skills. When I was a kid, I used to hate language classes and just got pass scores to make through. I was deeply interested in math and loved to work on problems for hours. But writing a essay is always an F in school. Fast forward 15 years, I have never recovered/should I say never cared to improve it consciously. While I can communicate my ideas, pick interesting vocabulary works when I read an article, my sentence formation skills are just worse. Tenses, grammatical errors can often be overlooked in F2F communication because of ease and short time needed to make other person understand, but writing an email/written communication is very poor. I also often tend to use what I would have said F2F 'as it is' when writing an email/chat with someone.
What would one do at late 20's to change/improve it. I have never been this enthusiastic to work on this before , even though my written English is bad
any suggestions.?
Thanks

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
